Day 1.
Starting around 8am there will be a breakfast stop in Korkuteli. If you will not have a lunch box from the hotel, you can buy some snacks, drinks here. On reaching Denizli, a city close to Pamukkale, the tour stops to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the white travertines and to allow a lunchbreak (open buffet, extra charge). On arrival at Pamukkale, the tour first explores the ruins of the Graeco/Roman city of Hierapolis (amphitheatre, city walls, bathhouses and Necropolis) which sits above the travertines and is the source of the natural spring water which runs down the mountain-side to form the calcified rock pools. Afterwards, it is possible to take a walk on walkways over the white travertines to really appreciate this natural wonder. Not far from the travertines there is an ancient pool called Cleopatra's pool, which is filled with the area’s hot, natural spring water and has ancient columns and stones from the ancient city lying at the bottom of the pool (swimming here is optional and for an extra charge). At the end of the afternoon, the tour drives to the hotel for an overnight stay. Dinner is included.
