Enjoy a nice day trip from Paris to the majestic Domaine de Chantilly, extending over 19 000 acres, in one of the biggest forest of Paris outskirts.
Show up at our agency in central Paris to board our luxury and air-conditioned motor coach and arrive at Chantilly. We recommend you to start your visit by discovering the Great Stables (Grandes Ecuries) whose architecture dates back from the 18th Century. You will see the Museum of the Horse showing the relation between the horse and humans from the beginning of civilization. The Great Stables offer equestrian shows all year long under the “dome” containing 600 seats. It is recommended to show up 30 minutes before the show.
Before lunch, spend the afternoon wandering through the park and discover the French-style gardens designed by Le Nôtre in the 17th century, the 18th century Anglo-Chinese garden and the 19th century English garden. Continue your visit with the Renaissance Château and discover the Condé Museum, hosting an exceptional collection of more than 800 masterpieces by artists such as Botticelli, Raphaël, Poussin and Delacroix. The museum is considered the second most significant museum of ancient paintings after the Louvre museum.
Finally, you will find in the chateau library a unique collection of more than 19,000 manuscripts, primarily from the Middle Ages. Audio guides are available to discover the Château collections.
