A fast ferry will depart from Kusadasi Port at 09:00 and will arrive in Pythagorion Port on Samos Island after approximately 45 minutes. Birthplace of the Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, this island is well known for its’ vineyards and production of wine. Here there is a 3 hour break with free time to go swimming at the beautiful nearby beaches, explore the small town of Pythagorion or visit places of historic interest. At midday, the ferry to Patmos Island departs sailing for approximately an hour.
Mentioned in the Book of Revelations, amongst the attractions on this island is the Monastery of St John the Theologian, an important place for the Greek Orthodox community founded in 1088 and located at the highest point of the island. It can be visited either by public transport or by joining tours with a guide. There are also tavernas and souvenir shops around the small port to browse or relax in while enjoying a Greek aperitif. The ferry departs Patmos at 18:30 and will return via Pythagorion on Samos and arrive in Kusadasi at 21:00.
